Statement of Purpose:
The International Center for Collaborative Solutions
at Sullivan University educates and trains people to constructively interact with others and to create and sustain collaborative relationships in the workplace.
Interacting with others is a major life activity at every level of human endeavor. These interpersonal relationships may be constructive or destructive, driven by individual expectations and attitudes. Wanting to achieve a common goal, people will share resources and responsibilities, seeking common ground upon which to build. In other words, they will interact constructively with one another. However, without the proper skills people may end up working at cross purposes to their goals and the organization’s goals with destructive consequences. Once acquired, these collaborative skills must be used and refined so that expectations and attitudes remain aligned and the benefits of this major life activity continue.
